Triathletes for a better world
- Your triathlon can become other people's rescue
As a new offering from Challenge Copenhagen you as a participant can now create an online fundraising campaign and raise money for a charity of your choice. For example, you can help children with cancer in Denmark, poor boys in rural India to get an education, young prostitutes in Nairobi to improve their situation, or disabled teenagers in Denmark to a dignified life.
It's easy and free for you to make a difference for people in need. And there are big prizes at stake for the best fundraisers. All you have to do is submit an image (for instance of you on your bike, in your running outfit or in the water) and a text about why you do triathlons, and whom you have chosen to fundraise in favour of.

– and they set up your personal fundraising page. You receive a link and send it to all your friends and ask them to contribute to the good cause.
See more on www.betternow.org - the first Danish marathon runners have already embraced the concept, and have collected many thousands. The concept is familiar from abroad - for example 70% of all runners in London marathon are fundraising for charities, and the London Marathon is the world's largest fundraising event. Now triathletes can join this movement and use their extreme sporting performance as an ideal opportunity to raise money for people in need.
Go to www.betternow.org/projects and see what projects you can choose to support. All our charities are approved non profit organizations including Doctors Without Borders, CARE and DanChurchAid (Folkekirkens Nødhjælp).
On race day we will announce the three top fundraisers – those we have collected the highest amounts. Winners receive gift certificates for Endurance Sport on Gl. Kongevej, Copenhagen:
1st prize: 5000 DKK
2nd prize: 3500 DKK
3rd prize: 1500 DKK
Submit your photos and text already today, and get started with your fundraising. The sooner you start, the more you can fundraise. Every penny counts and can make a big difference for people in need.
