Catching up on Challenge Copenhagen
What a day last Sunday turned out to become! After a night of not knowing if Challenge Copenhagen would happen or if the rain had washed away the roads for the bike course the sun ended up braking through and all you amazing triathletes took over the streets of Copenhagen! The Copenhageners came out to cheer and support – and you most certainly put on a show for them!
At 15.07 Tim Berkel danced through the finish line with Right Said Fred’s “I’m to Sexy” blasting from the speakers, at 15.54 Rebekah Keat “Got the party started” and at 17.00 the Police estimated 125.000 spectators on the Ecco Biom run course alone turning Challenge Copenhagen into the biggest street party of the year.
August 15 2010 truly ended as an historic day – never has so many people supported, cheered and helped – never has 1600 so courageous, strong, stunning and beautiful athletes taken on the streets of Copenhagen and Northern Sealand.
Here we are five days later and we have a few practical things to catch up on.
Finisher shirts
Very regrettable we ran out of finisher shirts in the right sizes.
