Sorry this is in English but my Danish is not good enough yet! I google translated your post..
Great post. Its so nice to hear from other newbies! This is my first attempt too and I also plan to try to follow a plan like the one you mentioned. I started in March with training as I was really at 0% fitness and smoking etc. My only advice that I can give so far is to try to not do too much too quick. If like me you try to start off at 100% you are likely to get an injury..I have had a few now and they are totally down to trying to run further and faster each time I went. I have now found that improving one aspect (speed or distance) at a time is better. One week I will work on increasing pace, another week I will try distance. With cycling I have found it's best just to put the km in (or time in doors spinning or on a turbo trainer). Not cycling at 100% or caring too much about speed but just to keep going for a good few hours. I dont plan to try to win any race - I just plan to finish in the time allowed. My plan is to get off the bike with energy left for a 42k run! I started a blog back in March to help me keep motivated and to keep a diary of what I have been up to. There are many others out there and I have found them to be a great source of hints and tips but also for motivation. Its good to hear about other peoples hard times and good times and how they get through it. My blog is: http://longwaytogo-ironman.blogspot.com/ Here are some more: http://oneyeartoironman.wordpress.com/ http://jamiecoopertriathlon.blogspot.com/ All the best. If any of the experienced people out there have advice that may help us beginners please let us know! |
