The bike route is published in a tiny picture on the homepage. Is it possible to have some more details and maybe even a GPS track to follow? It would be nice with some premature training on the exact course.

Hi

We currently have programmers working on a solution to show the courses probably.

Until then we have to settle with the small picture :-)

Some time during fall the solution will be online

Any update on this thread?

Is it possible to get a more detailed description of the bike course than the one present on the Challenge homesite.
It could be great to put the track into the hometrainer, so if a detailed track could be published, then it is possible to drive the route and record it on my GPS for winther training purpose.

I get the feeling this event isnt very well organised so far. I keep seing lots of posts asking questions and Challenge keep saying yes we will sort this out later...but time passes by and nothing seems to happen.
Bike couarse detail is an example . This sort of details should have been put on the site by this time.

Have to disagree with the last post. Some details cant be posted until finalised, whats the point is posting the wrong route? Lots of people and organisations have to buy into this so it takes time. I have found the Challenge guys very helpful and honest so far.

We are working very closely with 7 different Danish counties. All of them are very positive and have given their initial accept of the bike course, right now its details that we are working on.

But, there are rules to follow, and when the counties say that we cannot publish the exact course we have to apply to this.

This said, we are developing a very cool way to show our course (swim, bike, run) and look forward to showing this to all of you guys.

Challenge Copenhagen is going to be the first international iron-distance triathlon right in the middle of a capital - we can ensure you that this wouldn't be possible if we were not working seriously on the event.

We definitely look forward to welcomming all of you in August, after what will be 2 years of intense preparation.

Hi Challenge,

are there any news on the final course setups (swim, bike & run)?
And, by any chance, when will there be the promised "cool way" of the course presentation?
I guess a lot of athletes are keen on getting some more details.

regards
t.

Hi T - and all other

The final details on the bike course are now ready, and you can see a detailed map under "bike course"

http://www.challengecopenhagen.com/en/challenge-copenhagen/race-info/bike

Press the picture for a larger and more detailed version.

The actual technology isn't really that cool - but it did take some time to make in PhotoShop :-)

We plan to have 3 aid stations: One on Strandvejen, one in the northern parts of the course and one close around "Holte" going south. The direction is counter clock wise.

As the snow disappears outside we will add the actual locations for aid staitions, penalty boxes, hot spots, toilets etc.

By that time the developers might even have finalized the interactual map - which hopefully will be cool, state of art and second to none...

All the best
